Horvath interprets these studies with care, meaning that musicality and technique are inseparable. (Agnès Simon)

So many fascinating first recordings, the feeling of exhumation of which is reinforced by the virtuoso and evanescent playing of Horvath, as much as by the muffled tones of the piano of the 1920s chosen for this disc. (Thierry Hillériteau)

This is essential listening for all Debussy enthusiasts who see beyond the one or two potboilers normally presented to the listening public. (John France)

The addition of all these pieces makes for a gripping musical journey, how fortunate that [Debussy] found such a knowledgeable musicologist as Robert Orledge, such an inspired pianist and such a haunting piano. (Jean-Charles Hoffelé

Nicolas Horvath proves to be a leading performer, with the fluidity and mysterious delicacy of his touch. (Jacques Bonnaure)
Carnet sur Sol
I am struck by Nicolas Horvath timbral beauty, each sound sings roundly, without preventing a nice variety of textures. Enough to renew your Debussy with delight. (David LeMarrec)
The recordings are friendly and professionally engaged, as are the performances by Nicolas Horvath. (Rob Barnett)
Muusika
It is a gratifying contribution to commemorate the legacy of one of the founders of our estonian music. It's an important publication in the history of Estonian music development. Nicolas Horvath has done all of this with his wide creative reach and compassion, and deserves the honor and praise. (Alo Põldmäe)

A perfect interpretation, never neutral and systematically in the service of partitions whose slightest bends are rendered without emphasis but with delicacy. (Bertrand Ferrier)

Congratulations on achieving such a monumental feat, the music was well performed and filmed
A selection of 1.5 hours of music taken from the Nuit Erik Satie and beautifully filmed by Thierry Villeneuve during the Nuit Blanche 2018 at the Philharmonie de Paris.
There are only a few rapt and floating sounds here, and Horvath's interpretation does not correspond to the cliché of the common satie interpretation. Clear, transparent, architectural emphasis, that's how Horvaths Satie comes from. (Alain Steffen)

Horvath has found the right balance between lightness and aristocratic attitude, sound care and apparent disenchantment. An integral to be followed carefully for future volumes. (Luca Segalla)

Pianist Nicolas Horvath revisits the essentials in an extremely poetic way.(Christophe Rodriguez)
Faced with rarities such as the incidental music Le Fils des Étoiles (1891), Horvath undoubtedly needed resistance and great concentration in the performance of this highly unusual work that exceeds seventy minutes and with the difficulty of a single and austere reading.(Luis Suarez)
Scene Magazine
Horvath’s admiration of Satie’s work is obvious, and he addresses himself into the material like a devoted acolyte might relay his master’s teaching.
(Chris Morgan)
Classica
Clarity of the patterns, distanced limpidity and a warm, woody tone, that of an Erard 1881 piano that belonged to Cosima Wagner. (Romaric Gergorin)
La Libre Culture
Nicolas Horvath offers a very inspired and poetic reading, also playing on an instrument with splendid sounds: Cosima Wagner's own Erard, wife of Wagner.(Francois Jongen)
For the Horvath performances, he is authoritative in choice of tempos and amount of rubato, though others have done perhaps more at times by taking liberties. Still, this is a welcome addition to the librares of all Satie acolytes and champions. (Grego Applegate Edwards)
Thewholenotes
In spite of the subtle technical compromises he is forced to make on this instrument, he nevertheless creates a sublimely haunting singing quality with his touch. (Terry Robbins)

Superiorly interpreted. A future reference for this directory. (Thierry Vagne)
Horvath succeeds in the right mix of laconicity, nonchalance and mischievous irony, the whole thing with gripping, compact tonality and clear contours, always with a feel for the wit of the gems in detail. (Eckhard Weber)

The playing is top-notch, the sound and notes are exceptional.(James Harrington)

Its sensitive perforamce combines elegance, clarity and precision
This brand new complete of the music for solo piano by Germaine Tailleferre has been in preparation since 2014!
It was produced in close collaboration with its publisher Paul Wehage and Elvire de Rudder - the sole beneficiary of Germaine Tailleferre who has given us a large number of unpublished scores and above all a large number of musical indications inherited from Germaine Tailleferre which allow us to dust off this wonderful music.
We also found many lost scores, this new series will offer more than two hours of unreleased music!
